I like studying, collecting, and making computer art as a way to inquire into (and optimistically push) the bounds of what is still a very nascent, underexplored and revolutionary form of media. I think of computer art as art that thoughtfully leverages a computer's unique affordances (memory, dynamic behavior, interactivity, networking, etc..) to make pieces that offer ways of seeing and thinking that you can't achieve in any other medium.
I've been programming for a long time, but started exploring making my own pieces in 2022. I'll occasionally share sample work here.
I recently made a text editor (QuickVerse) for writing raps or poems. It explores using generative AI to enhance the rap/poem writing workflow by suggesting rhyming words, phrases, and even entire lines as you type.
